Pender County North Carolina

Find your treasured vacation destination at Pender County’s beaches, Topsail Beach and Surf City, North Carolina. Our award-winning beaches offer 26 miles of Atlantic coastline to soak up the sun. Topsail Beach is recognized as one of the top five beaches in the nation.

Enjoy our watery-playground. Catch a wave on a surfboard. Search for seashells. Drop a line and fish from the Jolly Roger Pier or the Surf City Ocean Pier. We are home to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center where sick and injured sea turtles are nursed back to health. See ‘sick bay’ where endangered sea turtles are treated and ‘turtle bay’ where loggerhead, Kemp’s ridley, and green sea turtles are introduced to visitors.

If history is what you treasure, visit the Missiles and More Museum, where rocket and missile technology was developed in a top secret program called Operation Bumblebee. Or travel inland to Moores Creek National Battlefield, Southeast North Carolina’s only National Park, the site of the first Patriots’ victory in the Revolutionary War.

We’re the Seafood Capital of the Carolinas, so be sure to savor our locally owned and operated restaurants. Our restaurants feature tantalizing Southern meals.
